Education
Knowledge is power.
As a professor with a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and a body of research related to DEI and mindfulness, I can provide the latest research on these topics as well as evidence-based exercises and practices.
You get access to a curated library of resources so that you are equipped with a wealth of information.
Embodiment
There is plenty of research supporting the importance of embodiment practices for healing and supporting the body/mind/heart, and luckily with my 10+ years of experience, I can be your one-stop shop for all things mindful movement!
As a yoga teacher, fitness instructor and meditation teacher, I will provide different embodiment practices - meditation, breath work, stretches, yoga flows, short workouts to support clients on their journey.
Empowerment
I might be your coach, but you are in the driver’s seat of your own life. I will be your cheerleader as you make the best decisions for your own life path. All the exercises and practices we do together are designed for you to feel empowered to make the next best decision for yourself.

Shed & Shine Program Overview
12-week Coaching Roadmap
Six bi-weekly hourlong Zoom sessions | email support | voice & text memos

Week 1:
Content on the nature of being human and the ways we have created our identities, drawing from various disciplines including psychology and spirituality.
Week 2:
We start our journey together exploring your identity, where it came from, any narratives you hold that may or may not be helpful on your path to growth.

Week 1:
Learning about the history of oppression and stereotypes. Exercises to identify limiting beliefs and embodiment practices to support this stage of our work.
Week 2:
Deep coaching support on shedding narratives, cathartic session to release what is not serving you.

Week 5:
A blend of science and spirituality, from research on growth vs. fixed mindset to explorations on creating magic, trusting the universe, and playing big.
Week 6:
Exercises on re-imagining generational well-th (hint: it’s not just about finances), dreaming what is possible, not just what is probable, and more!

Whew, big topics covered so far!
We check in to make sure we’re aligned and on the right track to get you to your goals.It’s also a time to pause and reflect. For many of us we’re so used to going full speed, it’s a nice reminder to stop and pat yourself on the back.

Week 7:
We look at why taking rest and having fun is radical social justice work, as well as resources on self-care and tips on how to protect your schedule and time both at work and at home.
Week 8:
Nourishing embodiment practices like yoga nidra and guided sleep meditation recordings, as well as coaching on your relationship to time, your body, rest, and more.

Week 9:
Chances are, you’ve been told you’re too much or too loud, or you’ve learned not to use your voice. I cover research on why we don’t speak up as women and the negative impacts it has on our physical and mental health.
Week 10:
Throat chakra meditation, “My Seat at the Table” exercise for work and professional life, and voicing values exercise to identify your biggest non-negotiables.

Module 11:
What would the world look like if we all operated from a place of our deepest wisdom, accessing our humanity and leading with love? There’s plenty of research to support why love (vs. fear) is the antidote to the suffering we see in the world today (see your library of resources).
Module 12:
Vision board, “I have a Dream” exercise, Metta (loving-kindness) meditation. -
Every module, you’re given a homework assignment to recreate (either through writing, video, storytelling, art) a chapter of your story.
This last session, we get to celebrate YOUR story, written BY you, FOR you.

While we cannot guarantee specific outcomes as a result of our program, the most common results typically include:

The live Zoom call coaching sessions occur biweekly on the even numbered weeks (e.g., week 2, week 4). This is designed to allow the client to have ample time to review the resources in the library, practice some of the exercises, journal and reflect, and incorporate the embodiment practices they enjoy the most (e.g., yoga, meditation, breathing).
In the coaching sessions, I will typically guide you in a grounding practice, then you have the opportunity to share any insights, questions, or concerns. We will address next steps and celebrate wins along the way. Depending on client-specific needs and desires, I will tailor the sessions (e.g., more strategy-focused or more spiritual-focused).

Of course, every individual is different and the coaching relationship will vary depending on specific needs. However, you will find your sweet spot in how much time you want to invest in your transformation.
Most typically you will need:
Time to review the resources in the library can range from anywhere between 30 mins a week to hours (depending on how many of the resources you want to consume)
Time with Sarah will be bi-weekly hour long coaching calls (60 mins every other week)
Time to work on “homework” , which I will most likely give you after our calls, which will take as much time you want to dedicate on your own growth and transformation (e.g., working on your website, drafting the email to your colleague, or dedicating time to your own self-care practices)

Research shows that habits take time to develop, and healing requires both steady sustained support as well as deep inner work, which typically cannot happen in a one-and-done coaching session.
